At Gelsenkraft, we are dedicated to advancing the use of waste-based feedstocks and biofuels within the global energy transition. Founded in 2010 and headquartered in Coesfeld, Germany, we have built a strong international presence, trading, transporting, and consulting on sustainable raw materials for biodiesel, HVO and biogas production.
What defines us is the combination of market expertise, operational reliability and a strong partner network. Certified under the European Renewable Energy Directive (ISCC / REDcert), we ensure compliance, traceability and quality across every transaction. Our clients value us for being trustworthy, competent and reliable, three principles that have shaped our growth from day one.

History
Gelsenkraft GmbH was founded in 2010 by co-owners Roger Böing and Jörg Terschluse with the aim of contributing to a more sustainable energy system. From the beginning, our focus has been on the trading of bio-based raw materials and building strong, reliable partnerships with suppliers and customers. In 2013, we expanded our international footprint with the opening of an office in Murcia, Spain, strengthening our position in Southern Europe and beyond. Over the years, we have grown into a trusted partner with a global network, recognized for our solid contract performance, punctual logistics and strong financial management.
Our history is one of continuous development, diversification and commitment to sustainability – always with the goal of creating long-term value for our partners and driving the energy transition forward.

Our certification in accordance with the European Union’s Renewable Energy Directive (REDcert) ensures this for our customers and for us. REDcert aligns with the International Sustainability & Carbon Certification (ISCC). It certifies sustainable feedstocks, bio-based and circular materials, and renewables. It ensures supply chain transparency and compliance with environmental and social criteria.
